Low
Handicap Player:
Here the green is almost the opposite of the 2nd green,
in that the slope is from back to front. As a result
most of the shots to a "center" pin or a
"back" pin will hold the green. The club
selection here would be from a 7-iron to a 4-iron
depending on the wind. The Low Handicap player should
be concerned with distance and accuracy. There is
a "hump" in this green that runs from back
to front, this must be kept in mind as to the side
of the “hump” the pin is placed.
Average Handicap Player: Here the
main concern is to play “smart”. Tee the
ball on the right side. Here the target is the front
or the right side of the green. The “Average
Player” will play a five or six iron depending
on the wind. The key here is to go for an uphill “chip”
or putt. The object is to get over the creek but to
stay out of the right hand side trap.
