10th Hole

Low Handicap Player: Using a fairway wood, the player should definitely favor the right side of the fairway. The fairway slopes from right to left. Landing the shot slightly into the right rough or the first cut of the rough will permit the shot to feed down to the center or left side of the fairway. This will permit him to hit a high approach, which will land softly and hold the green. He should be aware of where the pin is as the green is somewhat of a "bowl" with a slight plateau on the left side. Hitting over the green is a problem.

Average Handicap Player: The player should use a driver from the tee. Since he has a tendency to move the ball from left to right, he will hit a "cut" or "slice" into the hill and this will help him, as the ball will feed down to the left. The player must remember that he will be hitting a less lofted iron, into an elevated green and therefore the ball will tend to release. A shot that lands slightly short of the green and feeds onto it will have a good chance to hold the green.
