11th Hole

Low Handicap Player: Here more "birdies" are made because the player can "lay up" at the optimum yardage to give them a shot at the pin, therefore a long iron or fairway wood should be used. Because the green is relatively flat you can do different things with the approach shot from 80 yards, that you cannot do with a little approach shot from 30 or 40 yards.

Average Handicap Player: This player can use a driver and not reach the bunker. Here the left side of the fairway is "major trouble" as the green opens up from the right side. Being on the right side of the fairway, even in the rough, will leave a better shot than from the left side because of the overhanging trees and sand trap.
