Hole
Low
Handicap Player: The willow trees protect
both sides of the green. The bunker on the right is
a consideration to a degree, as to pin placement.
The player should hit a 5 to 7-iron depending on the
wind. There is also a "ridge or hog-back"
that also runs from back to front of the green. The
best shot is a "soft" draw over the left
side willow that lands below the hole.
Average
Handicap Player: Here the club selection
can be a 4, 5 or 6-iron depending on the wind. The
player should look for landing the ball short right.
This takes the right bunker and the right willow out
of play. Stay below the pin. Since the “Average”
player tends to "fade" the ball, line up
for the right side of the left bunker. |
